James is the Network Medical Director, providing an experienced and balanced clinical perspective to the senior management team across both interventional and diagnostic radiology services. He also serves as the Clinical Director at Wye Valley NHS Trust, leading the strategic and operational delivery of radiology services.

James has over 16 years’ experience as a Consultant Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist. He has a special interest in Upper GI and Hepatobiliary imaging and intervention, alongside extensive experience in vascular and non‑vascular procedures and a broad practice across all major diagnostic modalities.

James previously served as the regional representative for the West Midlands on the Interventional Radiology Clinical Reference Group. He has a strong track record of service improvement, successfully introducing new services and expanding service provision in prior leadership roles, including his tenure as Lead Radiologist at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.

James is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists and a member of the British Society of Interventional Radiologists, the Cardiovascular and Interventional Society of Europe, the British Medical Association, and the Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association.
