Chief Strategy and Planning Officer at Wye Valley NHS Trust

Alan became chief strategy and planning officer in April 2018 having been in a variety of planning and programme roles in the Trust for the last eight years, including a key role in the creation of the Wye Valley NHS Trust. He has worked for the Trust since 2005 in operational roles and was director of operations for three years. Alan is a Registered Nurse, having joined the NHS as a student nurse in 1989 and holding senior nursing positions in national cardiac centres before moving to Herefordshire to focus on strategy, planning and service improvement.
